Artesans-ResQ Ukraine: June 2026
In June, ARQ continued to prioritize high-acuity critical care transport, with all 27 completed missions requiring ICU Level 2-3 support. Demand for pediatric, neonatal, burn, long-distance, and targeted evacuations remained high, including joint missions carried out in close cooperation with our partners. We also continued our CCT training programme, training 41 medical professionals from 12 regions.
June Highlights
27 missions completed: intensive care support (ICU levels 2 and 3) was required for all patients (100%)
In total, 8 pediatric and 2 neonatalcases were successfully transported, continuing on an upward demand trend
7 burn patients successfully evacuated
10 long-distance transfers and 10 targeted evacuations were completed,
with 3joint missions implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine MCUTotal transportation time: 217 hours and 30 minutes

Case Study #1
ARQ safely transported a 9-day-old newborn with critical coarctation of the aorta from Kropyvnytskyi to Kyiv for urgent cardiac surgery.
The case required prolonged pre-transport stabilization, invasive mechanical ventilation, central venous access, continuous alprostadil infusion, parenteral nutrition, and carefully titrated sedation.
After nearly 3 hours of preparation and a 6-hour transfer under continuous intensive care monitoring, the child was delivered to the cardiac surgery center in stable condition.
Case Study #2
On 11–13 June and 22–24 June, ARQ continued its series of Critical Care Transport (CCT) training courses in Dnipro and Kropyvnytskyi.
A total of 41 medical professionals from 12 regions completed the training, strengthening their knowledge and practical skills in the safe transport of critically ill patients.
The programme combined theoretical instruction with intensive practical exercises and simulations.
ARQ is grateful to the Kropyvnytskyi EMS Center for its support and assistance in organizing the training.
Case Study #3
We are sincerely grateful to the Bamberg community, Dr. Marc Zoller, Kateryna Herde, Christoph, and everyone who supported the initiative that helped deliver four ambulances to Ukraine.
One of these vehicles was donated to Artesans-ResQ and will strengthen our capacity to carry out urgent interhospital critical care transports to specialized medical care. Every functional ambulance makes a direct difference for patients who need safe and timely medical transport.
