About Us

Artesans-ResQ USA is a charitable organization that has been saving patients’ lives since 2022 through a coordinated system of Critical Care Transport (CCT) and medical staff training. Today, we are a provider of specialized patient transport within Ukraine and abroad, as well as the developer of the country’s first national CCT protocols and standards.

When Russia's full-scale invasion began, Ukraine's hospitals came under enormous strain, and patients suddenly needed to travel much further to reach the care they needed.

A group of doctors, paramedics, and emergency responders stepped in to close that gap. We built specially equipped ambulances, staffed by physicians, anesthesiologists, and paramedics, so critically ill patients receive the same level of care on the road that they would in a hospital bed.

Our mission:

  • We move soldiers, civilians, children, and infants from front-line areas to the specialist hospitals that can save them.

  • We keep patients alive and stable for every mile of the journey.

  • We're building Ukraine's long-term capacity for critical care transport by designing protocols, training instructors, and partnering with hospitals and emergency services nationwide.

  • We're training the next generation of transport medicine professionals.

Our work covers four main areas:

  1. Adult transport. We move critically ill and injured adults across Ukraine and abroad, any hour of the day or night.

  2. Pediatric and neonatal transport. We move children and newborns in critical condition, giving them the same intensive care they would receive in a hospital ICU.

  3. Setting the standard. We wrote Ukraine's first national protocols for critical care transport, the guidelines that now define how patients are safely moved across the country.

  4. Training. We built Ukraine's first training programme for critical care transport specialists, and we're training the next generation of doctors, paramedics, and medics to carry this work forward.

Since 2022, we've carried out more than 3,000 critical transfers, including international medical evacuations and repatriations, working alongside Ukraine's Ministry of Health, its Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine, the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid, and the World Health Organization, our primary institutional partner and lead funder.

Behind every mission stand people: doctors, paramedics, nurses, drivers, and volunteers from Ukraine and around the world. They work together to give patients the chance to survive and recover.

We often operate in conditions where there is no room for error and every minute matters. Yet even in such circumstances, we are united by one goal: to help those who need it most.

We are grateful for the support of our partners, donors, volunteers and medics from Ukraine and around the world who help us carry out this crucial work.
