Artesans In Action
Artesans-ResQ Ukraine is a charitable organization that has been saving patients’ lives since 2022 through a coordinated system of Critical Care Transport (CCT) and medical staff training. Today, we are a provider of specialized patient transport within Ukraine and abroad, as well as the developer of the country’s first national CCT protocols and standards.

transporting Babies
Here’s a short video of one of our pediatric anesthesiologists transporting an infant patient on a 12-hour run within Ukraine. The equipment being used is a Hamilton T1 ventilator and an A.H.T. BabyPod. Both are vital for transportation of critically ill newborns and young children.

A Busy Training Day
Artesans-ResQ may train up to 10 nurses and doctors a day in the protocols and techniques of Advanced Life Support transport. The days are intense and each student will work on a manikin to simulate real word conditions. This training session took place at our old facility which was as a parking area, a base for the crew and a training venue. We now a have a dedicated facility closer to the center of Dnipro. Eddy scott
Eddy Scott is a British volunteer medic who moved to Ukraine in late 2022. He lost an arm and leg in a Russian drone attack while evacuating citizens from Pokrovsk in February 2025.
Artesans ResQ transported him to Kyiv and later to Lviv, where he has undergone physiotherapy at the Superhumans Center.
He remains in Ukraine and is an advocate for prosthetic and rehabilitation patients. He works with the Superhumans foundation in Lviv.

Train Transfer

Our anesthesiologist Arina walks through eFAST, a rapid ultrasound check our crews use to spot internal bleeding and collapsed lungs in trauma patients. In under three minutes, a portable scanner can reveal life-threatening injuries so the patient gets the right care fast.
A more technical explanation:
Arina, an anesthesiologist with Artesans-ResQ, demonstrates the eFAST protocol (Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma). She uses a portable ultrasound on Andrii, who is not a patient but a volunteer. She scans each point in turn:
Morison's pouch, between the liver and the kidney
The right and left pleural spaces
The splenorenal pouch
The pelvis, in two views
The pericardium, from below the ribs
At each point she shows there is no free fluid, which she calls "FAST negative." She then checks for a collapsed lung (pneumothorax) in two ultrasound modes. She points out the normal signs, "lung sliding" and the "seashore sign," and the "barcode sign" that would warn of a problem. Her closing point is that this quick, simple bedside test helps the team catch life-threatening injuries early and treat them in time.
