From the beginning of 2026, we are focusing on more complex and prolonged critical care transfers while strengthening the EMS system through targeted trainings.
Our mission remains the same: to provide safe, timely, high-quality critical care transport and save lives when it matters most!
January 2026 Highlights
38 missions completed – intensive care support (ICU levels 2 and 3) was required for 92% of all patients
All 9 pediatric and 4 neonatal cases successfully transported
14 burn patients successfully evacuated
23 long-distance transfers were completed, with 9 cross-border missions implemented in close cooperation with the MoH MCU
Total distance covered in January — 39 595 km
In cooperation with the MoH MCU and the CDM, one of the fastest cross-border pediatric evacuations was completed — just over 48 hours from injury to arrival at a specialized center in Germany
56 EMS professionals were trained by our team in cooperation with the CDM and World Health Organization (WHO)
Case Study #1
An 11-year-old child with 45% burns was in extremely critical condition, requiring mechanical ventilation and vasopressor support.
After five hours of stabilization, our team safely transferred the patient from Lviv to Rzeszów, Poland with continuous intensive care.
The child is now stable and undergoing rehabilitation at a specialized burn center.
Case Study #2
A 2-month-old infant requiring advanced monitoring and controlled sedation underwent a five-hour inter-hospital transfer after stabilization, including secured vascular access and medication support.
Transport was conducted in a BabyPod, a temperature-controlled incubator with continuous monitoring; the patient remained stable and was safely handed over.
Case Study #3
A 29-year-old patient with extensive thermal injuries (75% of total body surface) required continuous intensive care due to the high risk of burn shock and multi-organ failure.
Our team safely transferred the patient to a specialized burn center in Germany, ensuring uninterrupted advanced monitoring and support throughout the mission.
In January, our team delivered 3 two-day “Critical Patient Transport” trainings for 56 medical professionals.
They came from Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Donetsk regions, strengthening regional capacity for safe and effective interhospital transfers.
